Moment Channel 9 star announces pregnancy with ‘good friend’ Clint Stanaway: ‘What?’

Eliza Paschke is expecting a baby with former Nine presenter Clint Stanaway, but the two aren’t together.

Eliza Paschke told her sister, Liberty, she was three weeks pregnant with Clint Stanaway’s child.

The Block runner-up Eliza Paschke has revealed the sweet moment she told her family she was expecting a baby with her friend and former Channel 9 star, Clint Stanaway.

Eliza and the Nova breakfast show presenter announced that they were about to start a “a different-looking family” earlier this month, sparking a wave of congratulations for the pair, who are “good friends”.

Although the duo have not shared too many details about their pregnancy, Eliza posted a heartwarming video of when she revealed the news to her sister Liberty, who she took home $1.05 million with on the 2023 season of The Block.

“I guess I’d better start watching what I eat, given I’m pregnant,” she said in a clip talking to the camera next to Liberty.

For a few seconds, there was complete silence while Liberty took a moment to process what Eliza had said.

“Are you joking? What? Oh my god,” she said as her mouth dropped to the floor.

Eliza reassured Liberty that she wasn’t kidding and whipped out the positive pregnancy test, which read that she was three weeks pregnant.

Eliza’s hands were shaking, and Liberty gave her a big hug to celebrate the milestone moment.

Later in the video, Eliza was sitting in the car with Liberty and her younger sister Scarlett before revealing the news.

This time, Eliza had wrapped up the pregnancy test and pretended it was a birthday gift for Scarlett, who was just as shocked as Liberty after opening it.

“These moments were littered with swearing, but special sister memories nonetheless,” Eliza captioned the social media post.

The announcement was quickly flooded with words of support.

The pair revealed the news of their pregnancy on June 5 in very different ways.

Clint announced he was going to become a father for the first time on his Nova radio show.

“I’m going to be having a baby with a really good friend of mine,” the former Weekend Today show presenter said.

“We’re going to be using a co-parenting method to have this child.

“We’re going to have a different-looking family, but a family that is not going to have any shortage of love in it.”

He said he almost passed out at the first ultrasound because he was so overwhelmed.

“Hearing the heartbeat and seeing your baby there, it was just like, ‘Wow…this is special’,” he said, getting teary as he shared his wonderful news.

“It took my breath away.

“And I can’t wait for you to meet my little boy or girl.”

Eliza shared her news on Instagram, revealling that becoming a mother had been “something I’ve always thought about and openly discussed”.

“Today I’m 16 weeks pregnant, and feeling immensely grateful to be in this position,” she said.

“I know there will be lots of questions, which I’ll answer over time.”
