It took seven long weeks but Gia finally faced the music on MAFS: After The Dinner Party after her explosive break-up with Scott.

Here we unpack every shocking detail we learned from Gia’s long-awaited (and very messy) appearance on After The Dinner Party.
1. Gia sent ‘flirty’ bikini photos to alternate match James… but that’s not all
Before Gia joined hosts Laura Byrne, Brittany Hockley and Jules Lund on the lounge, the spotlight was on ex-husband Scott and Gia’s alternate match James.
We knew the footage of Gia and alternate match James (from the Final Task) was the “breaking point” for Scott.
We didn’t know Gia called James three times while she was still in the experiment – one hour after her breakup with Scott on the street.
This was news to Scott and you can watch his gut-wrenching reaction above.
James came to ATDP loaded with proof of the phone calls.
At 1:20pm on the day of Gia and Scott’s Final Date, Gia went back to the apartment ready to leave the experiment.
At 1:55pm, Gia rang Scott with the ultimatum, you either leave or we are done.
Then one hour after their public breakup, Gia made three frantic phone calls to James, who said you could tell she was “angry”.
James revealed the text messages soon turned “flirty” and she sent him bikini photos.
MAFS RECAP: Scott distraught as ‘putrid’ video exposes truth of Gia’s betrayal
“I didn’t know she was still in a relationship with Scott,” James admitted. “If I did, I wouldn’t have carried on the conversations.”
2. Gia says Scott called her ‘fat’
Gia did admit to “self-sabotaging” her relationship, but claimed Scott said hurtful things too, including an unseen moment where Scott called her “fat”.
“But why did you never bring that up in the experiment?” Laura called her out after Gia herself “said probably the worst thing you can say about a guy”.
“It’s actually you not speaking well about him,” Laura doubled down.
Watch Gia get called out here:
After their explosive breakup at the Final Dinner Party, Scott revealed he hadn’t spoken to Gia. That is, until he settled back home and got a surprise phone call from Gia revealing she was on the Gold Coast.
“She moved there. I didn’t even know,” Scott told the hosts, adding Gia wanted to get coffee with him.
“I rejected her on it and she went off and said, ‘I moved here for you'”.
Scott claimed Gia didn’t handle the rejection well. Within two weeks, Gia moved back to Melbourne.
Gia confirmed she did move to Queensland with her daughter because that’s where her father lives. She told her version of events in the full episode.
4. Gia reacts to Bec’s ‘savage’ confession that she was ‘framing’ her this whole time
Gia admitted there was “definitely not” a friendship with co-star Bec, even more so after she trusted Bec at the Final Dinner Party before everything backfired in Gia’s face.
Remember, Bec was the only reason Gia stayed in the end.
Unseen footage of Bec’s vox after the Dinner Party had Bec admitted she was “framing” Gia only to see her relationship explode.
“She f–ked me over, now you look like a d–k. So see ya,” Bec laughed.
Catch the jaw-dropping confession here:
“I feel like an idiot,” Gia bawled. “I really believed her word at the time.”
5. Gia explains why she faked going to Melbourne
You might need to watch the video just to keep up, because this one gets complicated:
Gia claimed production “made” her come back for the Final Dinner Party to confront Scott, only to backtrack and reveal that staying in Sydney was her only chance to see Scott, confront him and get another chance.
“You just said to us, that production made you. Was that bullshit?” Jules called her out.
6. Gia admits she ‘leaked’ her new relationship
“Cut the shit,” Jules fired back at Gia after she explained the pap shots of her new boyfriend “got leaked” to the media.
By going public with her new boyfriend, Gia spoiled the ending of her season.
Jules said it’s because she couldn’t stand the fact a guy she loved on national TV was having second thoughts about her. So Gia tried to get ahead and make it look liked she had moved on.
Gia said that wasn’t the case, it wasn’t a PR stunt.
7. Gia breaks down, says she’s ‘humiliated’ by her behaviour
Just as the hosts wanted to unpack Gia’s behaviour, the bride broke down. Laura could sympathise that Gia’s actions came from a place of rejection.
“I don’t want to excuse any of this,” Gia cried. “There’s always more to a story.”
But then Laura claimed Gia’s “story” would change every time new information came out.
“I don’t know what else to say, I f–ked up,” said Gia. “I’m glad you have pushed me because it’s made me realise I can’t do this kind of shit. I’m raising a daughter, I need to do better.”
“I’m extremely embarrassed,” she said of watching back her story. “It’s shown me sides of myself that I need to grown on… I’m humiliated.”
Looking down the barrel of the camera, she apologised to Scott.
“I feel like I did break and hurt this man.”
